I'm not late in my posting, honestly.

It's the middle of the night. I can't sleep. And the ants have invaded my room and occupied my desk. They have even dared to breach my computer.

This means war.

As soon as I can use the vacuum without waking anyone up. In, like, two hours.

Dang.

A clean, ant-free room: priceless.

Turkey day has come and gone.
( Must be time to kick back and relax for the holidays. )

1) The latest Discworld novel, purchased as an ebook.
2) Making and eating fresh snickerdoodles.
3) The two following exchanges of dialogue on tonight's "Criminal Minds":
One:
JJ: Cullen-- the vampire family from 'Twilight.'
Reid: What's Twilight?
JJ: Spence, do you read anything other than technical manuals?
Reid: Not much in English.

Two:
Rossi: I was into the Rat Pack, but I wouldn't have killed for Frank or Dean.
Hotch: No, you just drank whiskey and smoked cigars.
Rossi: This from the man whose favorite record is the Beatles' White Album.
Hotch: Hey, just because Manson hijacked it doesn't mean it has to spoil it for the rest of us.
Reid: That's why I stick to Beethoven. No chance of guilt by association.
(the others glance at one another.)
Prentiss: Reid, have you ever seen a movie called 'A Clockwork Orange'?
Reid: Mm-mmm.
(The others start laughing.)

Oh, Reid, you and your lack of pop culture knowledge are so adorkable.

October has been action packed.

Two quick shoutouts.
First: my dad got an A+ on his final paper and got a total of 98 out of 100 points in his nursing class. Three cheers for the awesome student!
Because dad got both the great grade and some great feedback, he decided he needed a little treat. We went to the discount grocery by our house. While perusing the ice cream choices, we discovered one pint of Haagen-Dazs Reserve Hawaiian Lehua Honey and Sweet Cream ice cream. PURE. HEAVEN. Thanks, Dad!
Second: to the inventive geeks out there who are so good at parting me from my money. Love you guys.

Got out of the house and did some fun things.

I just went to the dentist on Tuesday, and got a clean bill of health. Now I have to go back the coming Tuesday, because I just chipped my frickin' tooth! It's only a tiny chip in my upper canine, but it hurt like heck and it's going to drive me crazy until I can get it fixed. It wasn't even the food I was eating that did it-- I just bit down wrong and it was the other tooth that it hit against.
So mad now. If you want to help, all well wishes or donations towards some new toys-- um, I mean, my dentist's bill!-- are welcome.

Yeah. So. I'm not dead, and some things have actually happened. So I'll write about them now.

Our DSL modem broke, and we spent two days without internet. I went without it for a few hours more than my parents, because my laptop is stupid.
It's amazing how little we had to do without our connection-- and I didn't even have anything important to do, unlike my parents. Mom commented that computers have not, contrary to what some people say, made our lives easier. When they break down, we're stranded.
Luckily, there are these amazing technological wonders called "books" -- they never crash!

Finally getting around to writing about all the important stuff that's happened.

Oh, and I changed my journal layout, too.

So, I really should have written about all this sooner, but oh well.
